Sanyo Turns to Univenture for U-1000 Disc Packaging Equipment Features
Posted Nov 1, 2002

Univenture Inc., an international designer and manufacturer of communication packaging products. announced  that Sanyo Laser Products requests more functionality from Univenture's U-1000 automated disc packaging equipment. The requested additions will provide a vast array of automated disc insertion and packaging options for a wide range of publishing and bindery applications including educational books and magazines as well as standard disc packaging options. Sanyo wanted an immediate solution to the tedious and expensive hand disc insertion process. They required the ability to auto insert a replicated disc into a reusable sleeve and then bind that sleeve, with the disc, into a perfect bound publication for a major book-publishing corporation. The U-1000 technology, patented by Univenture, is a totally integrated, automated packaging system that can be used by a single operator. The machine can auto insert discs at high speed up to 4,200 discs per hour. Hundreds of configurations can be achieved for virtually any disc packaging requirement, including direct mail and security tamper-evident sealing.
