At the International CES 2005 Show, Nero, providers of digital media technology, introduced AVC/H.264 content creation with VCPS copy protection for HD and Nero Digital enabled consumer devices.
Nero Digital, co-developed by Nero and Ateme, is a complete MPEG-4 audio and video solution for home entertainment and CE devices. Now featuring AVC/H.264 video encoding and HE-AAC audio, future Nero applications will be able to record HD video content with surround sound on DVD. The addition of VCPS to Nero Digital provides security against unauthorized re-distribution.
Nero Digital's complete integration into Nero 6.6 Ultra Edition's video authoring program, Nero Vision Express 3, makes available a complete audio and video solution. Users can create, edit, import, and export video files to and from Nero Digital. Furthermore, customers can export any video content to the Nero Digital file format (.mp4) and capture to Nero Digital file format (Captures into a file to be written on the HDD).
Exhibitors at CES showcased this Nero Digital technology, as all the HD content shown on the HD-DVD player prototype at the HD-DVD pavilion was encoded with Recode, a Nero product that includes Nero Digital technology. Nero is the first to introduce AVC/H.264 content creation with Video Content Protection System (VCPS) for HD video. Nero Digital with VCPS is expected to be introduced in devices beginning Q3/2005.
